Mr. Lyne began his career in the energy industry in 1986 with the Columbia Gas System, where he held several positions on both the distribution and interstate transmission sides of the company. At Columbia, Mr. Lyne also ran the Economic Development Department and was responsible for marketing, along with other state representatives, the Commonwealth of Virginia as a future home for large industrial facilities. His work with Columbia Gas Transmission included contract negotiations and management of LDCs owning capacity and storage on the system. Mr. Lyne was very involved with development of new interstate pipeline laterals and for new pipeline projects including the Millenium Pipeline, which will bring gas out of Canada to the Eastern US. Mr. Lyne joined Dominion Resources in 1995 and was instrumental in starting the energy supply management business at Dominion, where he was responsible for managing energy procurement and delivery for some of the largest corporations in the US. He left Dominion to start Compass Energy.

Mr. Lyne has a bachelor of science degree from Virginia Commonwealth University.
