James (Jim) E. Johnson

Mr. Johnson began his career at Virginia Natural Gas in 1983 and has 22 years of experience in the natural gas industry. At VNG, he held positions in gas service installation, customer service, industrial marketing, and gas supply where he was responsible for managing the daily natural gas supply for VNG. He also served in VNG’s gas transportation division where he was responsible for making changes to better balance VNG’s supply portfolio. Mr. Johnson joined Consolidated Natural Gas (CNG) in 1997 to establish a natural gas sales and marketing office for industrial customers. After several years, he joined Aquila Energy as Director of Asset Management for the mid-Atlantic US where he expanded his tremendous knowledge of mid-Atlantic gas assets and utilities. Mr. Johnson joined Dominion Retail as commercial and industrial commodity sales Regional Manager, prior to starting Compass Energy.

Mr. Johnson holds a bachelor of science degree in engineering technology from Old Dominion University.
